I used to have some misguided beliefs about food......

Looking back about 6–7 years ago, I was obsessed with eating clean.
No oil, no salt, no sugar, no seasoning... and the types of food I allowed myself to eat were very limited.
I even went vegetarian for 3 years...
But as I studied more and experimented more,
I gradually realized that this way of eating wasn’t working for me.
❌ I still held onto stubborn fat around my waist and hips...
❌ My period became irregular...
❌ And my blood work showed I was low in certain minerals (Iron!)
So I started adjusting my beliefs (of course, there are still a few I stick to—like avoiding refined sugar),
And shifted towards a more balanced healthy eating approach (I'll share my current eating habits in the next post).
The result?
✅ Almost perfect blood work
✅ And this is the leanest, fittest I’ve ever been in my life! (I saw my abs for the first time!!!)
The biggest takeaway from this experience?
Progress comes from continuous learning, taking action, experimenting, and adjusting.
Growth is a dynamic process.
At the same time, I had to learn to let go of my old beliefs and identities—
Like the labels of “vegetarian” or “clean eater,” or even the mindset of “extreme restriction for weight loss.”
That process was extremely uncomfortable.
At times I thought, “Am I betraying my past self and everything I believed in?”
But it was exactly that uncomfortable change…
That helped me become a better version of myself! 💪🏽
Have you had a similar experience?
Are there beliefs you’ve held onto for years that no longer serve you?
And when you finally let go, did the world suddenly feel more open and free?
Letting go of the old… so you can create space for the new.
💛 Healthy eating doesn’t mean restriction — it’s about using a smarter, more suitable way to live and achieve sustainable weight loss.
